Student Council Updates!
By: Arianna Wu
The Student Council is continuing their hard work in upcoming school events after helping out with the Catholic Schools Week events, which was a success! Right now, the Spirit Squad is planning their new cheer for the St. Patrick’s Day assembly that is coming soon. Also, the last Valentine’s Bake Sale that the 3rd grade sponsored was a huge hit with the special treat being chocolate covered strawberries to be a favorite among the students. At the end of the Bake Sale, the Student Body Treasurer counted the money up to find that it had raised a whopping $218! The next Bake Sale which will have a St. Patrick’s Day theme is to be sponsored by the Student Council themselves. The Vice Presidents have also reported that the Lunchtime Games have been going well with everyone being excited to play. The VP's are thinking of changing the rotation of games being played to volleyball and dodge ball as the last rotation of games played was basketball and bottles, which was very popular. Lastly, the Religious Affairs Commissioners have made a school wide activity for the season of Lent. It includes each class getting a poster and the students writing what they are doing for Lent on it. After, the class would hang the poster outside their classroom. As the Student Council is as busy as ever, come back to the Newspaper to find out more updates!
